The bluestone patio hides the house’s concrete supports. The owner uses a brook nearby for bathing (with biodegradable soap), or wood-fire water heater for the occasional hot shower. The house is furnished with all sorts of artifacts from his frequent travels.

Inspired by photos of hand-built homes from the 60s and 70s, the couple employed their artistic talent and the help of their family and friends. Over the years they’ve learned quite a bit of carpentry. The cabin took four years to build and it is still not complete.
